BET Awards 2020 Winners: Megan thee Stallion, Burna Boy, Roddy Ricch, DaBaby, Wizkid, others win
The 2020 BET Awards winners’ list has been announced, Sunday, June 28th, 2020
Performers on the night included: Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Nas, Usher, YG, among others.
Hosted by Insecure star Amanda Seales, the 20th edition was presented virtually due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Beyoncé was honored with the annual Humanitarian Award in recognition of her ongoing philanthropic efforts, and Wayne Brady paid tribute to the late Little Richard.
International hip hop act, Megan Thee Stallion won the first BET Award of the night for Best Female Hip Hop Artiste.
Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy was declared the winner of Best International Act award beating competition from the likes of Sho Madjozi from South Africa , Stormzy from UK, and four others.
Another Nigerian superstar, Wizkid together with international superstar, Beyonce won the HER Award with the song, “Brown Skin Girl”.
The “Best New International Act” award went to Sha Sha of Zimbabwe.
